XCP Batteries

  • What does XCP stand for?

XCP stands for eXtreme Core Performance. XCP batteries provide C3 tools with longer runtime, better tool performance and increased torque.

  • How do XCP batteries improve the performance of all the C3 tools?

The XCP batteries provide longer runtime, more power, higher torque and better operation in extreme temperatures, while increasing the overall performance of all C3 tools.

  • What are the differences between the new Lithium-Ion batteries and XCP?

The new XCP batteries have a more advanced design which allows for better power delivery from the battery to the tool. This increases battery performance over standard Lithium-Ion batteries.

The new XCP batteries include a fuel gauge and rubber overmold whereas the standard Lithium-Ion batteries do not. For more information click here.

  • The Craftsman C3 XCP High Capacity Lithium-Ion battery is 4 Amp Hours; what does this mean to the end user?

This means that the battery has up to 4 times the run time over a Craftsman C3 19.2-Volt Ni-Cd battery. The end user can use the battery longer before needing to recharge.

  • The XCP batteries have extreme weather performance; what does this mean to the end user?

This means that the XCP batteries can operate normally at 5 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, whereas normal Lithium-Ion or Ni-Cd batteries would not function adequately.
